A trade and logistics complex of Wildberries company will be built in Uzbekistan

    On November 8 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev received the founders of the largest international marketplace Wildberries - Vladislav and Tatiana Bakalchuk. The meeting was also attended by the top management of the Russian company and heads of relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.

    During the meeting, a qualitative shift was noted in the structure of commodity groups of mutual trade with the Russian Federation, 70% of which are goods with high added value. The growth of demand in the e-commerce market was announced, the volume of which in Uzbekistan should reach $ 1 billion by the end of the year, due to the availability of the Internet and the base of active young users in Uzbekistan.

    The prospects of organizing the company's logistics complex in Uzbekistan for the sale of finished Uzbek products through the marketplace were discussed. An agreement was reached on the creation of a full-fledged Wildberries logistics complex in Tashkent, as well as a sorting center with a single window service of customs and certification authorities to simplify the procedures for registering goods. The total cost of the project will be $ 130 million, due to which five thousand jobs will be created from the moment the project is put into operation.

    In this context, the readiness of Uzbek manufacturers to organize supplies of textile products for trade on the marketplace for more than $ 900 million, leather goods for 121.5 million, construction materials for 172.2 million, electrical products for $ 382.5 million at the first stage was expressed.

    As part of the project, the company will be given the opportunity to register as sellers of entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan, online seminars will be held for Uzbek manufacturers in Uzbek and Russian languages in order to teach skills of working on an electronic platform and trading their goods, as well as the launch of a factory to create new Uzbek brands, where marketing research, analysis will be conducted market and development of relevant brands, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
