Why aliens do not communicate: a new hypothesis has appeared

The recent "dark forest" hypothesis has shed some light on this.

For decades, many scientists have puzzled over whether there is life in the Universe other than life on Earth, or whether there are intelligent beings similar to humans.

The so-called Fermi Paradox was once formulated as follows: if the universe is full of stars and potentially habitable planets, why haven't we found signs of other sentient beings or received messages from other sentient civilizations?

A recent "dark forest" hypothesis suggests a slightly different way of thinking. In particular, according to him, it is possible that other sentient beings are deliberately hiding from each other to avoid possible conflicts or depletion of resources. In other words, every civilization is like a hunter wearing camouflage that hides itself while remaining silent.

The hypothesis is that silence may be the safest course of action for all sentient beings outside of Earth, or that there are no cosmic communications with other sentient beings because the technologies are not yet advanced enough.
