Switzerland's best practices are being widely implemented in the vocational education system of Uzbekistan

    Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to our country Konstantin Obolensky. The parties discussed reforms in the field of vocational education and exchanged views on the comprehensive development of the system.

    At the meeting, Ambassador Konstantin Obolensky noted the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years. He said that Switzerland is ready to bring the relations of cooperation in the comprehensive development of the vocational education system of Uzbekistan to a new level, and cooperation in a new format will become the basis for this.

    Minister Kongratbay Sharipov noted that projects funded by the Swiss government to study Switzerland's best practices in the field of vocational education and its application in the vocational education system of Uzbekistan are a great help to the development of this area.

    Issues such as the development of a plan (strategy) for the development of vocational education in Uzbekistan, the training of teachers based on modern methods with the involvement of Swiss vocational education specialists, and the introduction of dual education were also discussed during the dialogue.

    The Ambassador noted the willingness to share Switzerland's best practices in increasing the attractiveness of the vocational education system, in particular, the introduction of inclusive and dual education, ensuring the quality of education, training middle-level personnel in cooperation with the private sector in Uzbekistan.
