Cooperation with Afghanistan in the pharmaceutical industry is expanding

    A delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev visited the city of Kabul with the aim of further developing cooperation with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

    Within the framework of the visit, the exhibition Made in Uzbekistan was held, organized at the international business center. A group of responsible persons of the sphere, headed by the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov, also took part in it. More than 300 types of medical products were presented at it.

    Meetings in the B2B format were organized between representatives of the business circles of the two countries. Information on more than 4,000 medical products was also presented.

    Director of the Pharmaceutical Service of the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan Hamid Furmuli put forward proposals to simplify the procedure for registration of Uzbek medicines and medical products for delivery to Afghanistan.

    In this context, it was decided to provide practical assistance in establishing cooperation with the National Food and Drug Administration of Afghanistan, the authorized body for the registration of medical products.

    At a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council of Entrepreneurs of Afghanistan on Health Issues, Dr. Mohammad Hashim Wahaaj, issues of supplying medicines, medical devices and medical equipment from our country to private hospitals in Afghanistan, sending patients to Uzbekistan were discussed.

    An agreement was also reached on the visit of the delegation of Afghanistan to Uzbekistan in order to get acquainted with medical products and the healthcare system of our country.

    In conclusion, export and import issues were discussed with Zabihullah Momen Zada, a member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
