The event, organized with the support of the Tourism Committee, attracted the attention of both local residents and foreign guests.
Ellie Dunington, a German female pilot who took part in the festival, flew over Khiva and broke her world record. Uzbekistan became the 118th country where Ellie Dunington flew.
Aeronauts from Brazil, Germany, Kazakhstan and Russia also rose from the Ichan-Kala complex into the sky of Khiva.
The Government of Uzbekistan aims to open up new opportunities for women in the country. In this regard, Ellie Dunington intends to create a school for female pilots, opening the way to the sky.
It is expected that the festival will give a new impetus to the development of aeronautics as a separate area of tourism and leisure, as well as help diversify services for tourists.
The guests of the festival were delighted with the Uzbek hospitality, which was manifested everywhere. They noted that the sincere smiles and friendly attitude of the locals created an atmosphere of coziness and comfort. The participants were impressed not only by the traditional cordiality, but also by the variety of cultural customs that make Uzbekistan unique.
A series of "Clear Sky" festivals is planned for next year, which will become a vivid example of Uzbekistan's hospitality. These events will showcase the country's unique culture and traditions, as well as create a platform for international communication and exchange of experience between aeronauts and balloon enthusiasts from around the world.
