At the festival organized by the Tourism Committee with the support of the Tashkent city khokimiyat and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, about a thousand residents of our country and foreign guests were able to get acquainted with the creative works and samples of manual labor of skilled craftsmen working in such areas as pottery, jewelry, carving, carpet weaving, skullcap making, blacksmithing and textile production.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Niyazov welcomed the participants and guests of the festival and noted that the existing potential of our country, including crafts, production and the presence of a national craft school, is an important factor attracting the general public and foreign guests.

"Artisans, national manufacturers and many of our organizations play an important role in increasing the number of tourists, and we express our special gratitude to them. Thanks to their efforts, the number of foreign tourists who visited our capital amounted to 2 million 98 thousand people, and local tourists - 3 million 600 thousand," S. Niyazov said.

The festival also included artisan workshops, cultural and entertainment events and concert programs.
