Saudi company to build pharmaceutical plant in Tashkent region

    Saudi company Jamjoom Pharma will build a pharmaceutical plant on the territory of the Tashkent Farm Park complex in the Tashkent region, the Ministry of Health reports.

    The agreement on the construction of the plant was signed during the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev to Riyadh. The plant is scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2025.

    Deputy Minister of Health Farkhodjon Tashpulatov also attended the meeting with Chairman of Jamjoom Pharma Mahmoud Jamjum. The issues of registration of 30 medicines produced by the company in the republic were discussed.

    In addition, representatives of the Ministry of Health agreed on an eight-day visit of Saudi doctors to Uzbekistan in October this year. They will perform more than a hundred open heart surgeries and catheterizations at the V. Vakhidov Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Surgery Center.
