CEC: measures have been defined to ensure public order and security at the elections

    One of the important issues in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local Kengashes is ensuring public order and security. The peaceful and stable environment on election day allows voters to vote freely, voluntarily and on the basis of international standards.

    Based on this, at the next meeting of the Central Election Commission, measures were considered to ensure public order and security during the elections, to protect the territories of electoral districts and precincts from emergency situations and ensure fire safety, as well as uninterrupted electricity supply to election commission buildings and other organizational issues.

    In this regard, at the meeting, the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Energy provided information on the work carried out during the preparation for the elections.

    In particular, in order to ensure security and order, responsible ministries and departments have additionally installed 332 video surveillance cameras at polling stations, and lighting devices in 528 buildings.

    Roads leading to all buildings were also inspected, road signs, road markings, traffic lights were installed, and parking lots were organized next to 270 buildings.

    In addition, information was provided at the meeting on the conduct of fire safety checks at all polling stations, the organization of preventive inspections at 450 buildings, and the provision of primary fire extinguishing equipment for 664 more buildings.

    In addition, it was noted that the Ministry of Energy has taken measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to commission buildings on election day.

    Based on the above, the Central Election Commission has decided to ensure public order and security, protection from emergencies, and fire safety during the upcoming elections.

    In accordance with the agenda, 108 representatives of foreign countries and international organizations were accredited as international observers, and relevant decisions were also taken on other issues.
