Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of higher education, science and innovation is being strengthened

    On March 19, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov. Deputy Minister Shakhlo Turdikulova also took part in the meeting.

    Minister K. Sharipov highlighted the successful aspects of the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of higher education and science.

    Issues of further expansion of cooperation with Russian universities based on the accumulated positive experience of mutual relations were discussed at the meeting. In particular, speaking about the Uzbek-Russian educational forum, it was noted that such conferences serve as an important platform for discussing issues of cooperation in the field.

    The parties also stressed the importance of bilateral scientific and technical cooperation in high-tech fields, including discussing prospects for expanding projects with the Kurchatov Institute, one of the largest scientific centers in Russia. An exchange of views took place on the organization of a competition for joint scientific projects and the signing of a new cooperation document for this purpose.
