Uzbekistan - Oman: new horizons of cultural cooperation

    On February 27, at the office of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, a working meeting was held between WOSCU Chairman Firdavs Abdukhalikov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan Wafu Jabr Nasser Al-Busaidi.

    Issues of further development of relations in various fields, including strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries, were discussed at the meeting. The parties noted the common culture, religion, traditions and spiritual values that unite Uzbekistan and Oman, and also expressed interest in the consistent development of mutually beneficial relations.

    During the conversation, ideas were exchanged to strengthen cultural cooperation, including the joint implementation of projects aimed at popularizing the cultural heritage of both countries, including the study of artifacts related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman.

    The Ambassador also noted the large-scale reforms being carried out in the New Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the work carried out by WOSCU to study and collect manuscripts, artifacts, ancient objects related to the history of our country, stored in foreign museums and private collections. Wafu Jabra Nassera Al-Busaidi noted that this is her first visit to the WOSCU office and stressed that these works are the greatest resource and a very valuable cultural heritage for future generations.
