The exhibition "Silk and the Silk Road. From Hangzhou to Samarkand"

    On November 24, the exhibition "Silk and the Silk Road opens in the Samarkand State Museum-Reserve. From Hangzhou to Samarkand."

    The exhibition will feature 86 objects from the collections of the Samarkand Archaeological Institute named after Y. Gulyamov, the Samarkand State Museum-Reserve and the Chinese National Silk Museum in Hangzhou.

    The exhibition is dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan and China. This fall, the Chinese National Silk Museum hosted the exhibition "Colorful Asia: Exhibition of Asian costumes", dedicated to the XIX Asian Games. Then the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan presented 20 exhibits from the collection of museums of the country to the local public.

    The Chinese National Silk Museum will present 26 exhibits at the Samarkand exhibition. Visitors will have the opportunity to see silk samples, silk tapestry loom, costumes, silk products from the Qing Dynasty period.

    The exhibition "Silk and the Silk Road. From Hangzhou to Samarkand" will be open until September 15, 2024.
