The parties discussed the current state and promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in the field of medicine and healthcare.
In particular, they discussed the Uzbek side's study of the best Belarusian practices in the field of maternal and child health. They also discussed cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, including the localization of production of Belarusian medicines in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was paid to the completion of the Belarusian-Uzbek project to open a joint Center for regenerative Medicine in Tashkent on the basis of the Republican Blood Transfusion Center, which involves the creation of innovative stem cell production.
