In order to expand cooperation between tourism companies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, more than 40 cooperation agreements have been signed.

Documents on cooperation were signed within the framework of the tourism and trade forum of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which was held recently in Khujand, the administrative center of the Sughd region. This is reported by NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the forum, the parties discussed prospects for the development of regional cooperation in the field of tourism in order to further expand mutually beneficial ties. Representatives of travel companies of both countries also exchanged views on the issues of affordable prices for travel services in the post-pandemic period.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are two countries that have historically been the most important links of the Great Silk Road. They are located at the crossroads of world trade routes and have occupied an important position in the process of mutual enrichment of cultures and civilizations since ancient times.

The establishment of a visa-free regime between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will create an effective chain that will contribute not only to the development of tourism between the two countries, but also to regional tourism cooperation. The development of tourism, in particular the reception of foreign tourists, has a positive impact on the level of mutually beneficial relations between the parties.

In this regard, the establishment of effective cooperation between tourism companies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is economically beneficial for both countries.
