The parties considered the possibilities of further improving the activities of the Friends of Sustainable Transport Group, including the development of new effective solutions in the field of sustainable development of transport systems on a global scale.
The meeting highlighted the need to consolidate UN efforts to prepare for the Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026-2035. The participants noted the need to further improve the group's activities and consolidate efforts to overcome problems in the transport and logistics sector, including ways to minimize regional and global barriers in this area, as well as promote initiatives of UN member states in the field of transport development.
