This event not only promotes National fish dishes, but also attracts local and foreign tourists to other tourist destinations in the region.

The large-scale festival started for the first time in a unique dead tourist spot of Karakalpakstan - in the Muynak district, and later was held in the capital, the city of Nukus. This year's festival, which is being held for the fifth time, was held on September 29-30 this year in the Takhtakupyrsky district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
