G. Fozilov congratulated the representatives of the Program on the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the functioning of UNDP in Uzbekistan and highly appreciated its project activities in our country, which covers various spheres of society.

I. Jivkovich expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for the close cooperation and constant support provided in the Organization's activities in the republic.

Topical issues of Uzbekistan's cooperation with UNDP were discussed, focusing on the implementation of specific joint projects, including within the framework of the practical implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development in the period up to 2030, as well as the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.

Special attention is paid to the expansion of cooperation in the field of combating climate change, protecting the environment and biodiversity, in particular in countering the negative consequences of the environmental disaster of the Aral Sea, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
