The focus is on the current state of Uzbek-Cypriot relations, as well as assistance in strengthening cooperation between representatives of the business circles of the two countries.

During the conversation, the positive dynamics of economic cooperation was noted. Thus, in recent years, there has been an increase in the volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures. There was a mutual willingness to stimulate the expansion of investment partnership and industrial cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual commitment to deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation, and also reached an agreement on developing proposals for further expansion and diversification of mutual trade.

For reference: by the end of 2023, the volume of Uzbek-Cypriot trade increased 8 times. Today, there are 80 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with the participation of Cypriot investments, including 54 with 100 percent Cypriot capital.
