The International Olympiad in Mathematics named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi will be held in Nukus

    On October 23-29 of this year, the International Olympiad in Mathematics named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi will be held in Nukus. It is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Karakalpakstan.

    We remind you that on August 26, 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to hold this International Olympiad. According to him, every two years an international Olympiad in mathematics named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi is organized among students of higher educational institutions.

    The main purpose of organizing the Olympiad is to promote at the international level the huge contribution of the great scientist to the development of world science and civilization, as well as support talented students, their wide involvement in fundamental and exact sciences and the expansion of international cooperation in the field of science.

    The jury consists of well-known international experts in the field of mathematics, professors and teachers of the CIS countries, as well as experienced scientists, professors and practical teachers of our country.

    The winners of the Olympiads (citizens of Uzbekistan) are granted the right to enroll in a master's degree in mathematics, physics and information technology on the basis of a state grant outside the quota.

    This right is retained for three years after graduation from the bachelor's degree.
