It was attended by the Head of the World Bank representative Office in Uzbekistan, Marco Mantovanelli, representatives of international financial institutions, and a number of experts from Germany, Japan, Singapore.
The round table consisted of three parts, the first part included an exchange of views on the development of a new strategy for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Uzbekistan, including economic policy, financial accessibility, a competitive environment focused on youth and women, digital and innovative entrepreneurship.
During the event, the lessons learned from the reforms carried out, important directions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses and improving the efficiency of the use of financial resources were considered.
The second part discussed the further development of microfinance, improving the financial capabilities of small and medium-sized businesses, increasing the role of microfinance institutions in increasing financial inclusion, the results of social support programs for small and medium-sized businesses and the prospects for their commercialization.
An overview of the latest changes, the next stage of microfinance and recommendations for improving the use of financial resources for the development of micro, small and medium-sized businesses was heard.
In the third part of the round table, an interactive dialogue with international experts and local entrepreneurs took place. It heard and consolidated the opinion of entrepreneurs in the context of the development of small and medium-sized businesses and microfinance in Uzbekistan.
