    At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, on February 4, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing will be attended by leaders of foreign states and governments, as well as leading international organizations.

    According to the Xinhua news agency, the President of the People's Republic of China will take part in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing from February 4-6, and will also hold a welcome banquet for foreign leaders, heads of government, members of royal families and heads of international organizations, the news agency "Dong" reports.

    Among the guests are the heads of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Poland, Argentina, Singapore, the King of Cambodia, the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and leaders of several other states, the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus.

    The Olympic Games in Beijing will be held from February 4 to 20, the Paralympics - March 4-13 this year.
