Schoolchildren from Uzbekistan will take part in the international forum "Children of the Commonwealth"

    From June 25 to July 4, 2024, the IX International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan), on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.

    The event is organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. Schoolchildren from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the forum, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.

    Each delegation will present a presentation of the national traditions and customs of their country. Among the events that await the children are exhibitions, master classes, sports competitions, intellectual games, educational trainings, music competitions, art evenings and many others.

    "The main goal of the project is to educate children in the spirit of good neighborliness and friendship. The guys will learn a lot about the Commonwealth countries, they will have vivid impressions and the joy of finding real friends," said Dmitry Kobitsky, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council.

    For reference: the international cultural and educational forum "Children of the Commonwealth" was initiated by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, supported by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS. The first forum was held in 2013 in Cholpon-Ata. In 2021, it was held outside Kyrgyzstan for the first time - in St. Petersburg. In 2023, the forum was held in Uzbekistan, at the Semurg children's health camp. In total, more than 700 schoolchildren took part in it during its existence.
