In Uzbekistan, an assessment of the effectiveness of measures taken to combat corruption in public institutions, organizations and local administrations was carried out. The results of the assessment were published by the Anti-Corruption Agency.
At the thirty-ninth plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring the inevitability of responsibility for corruption crimes" was considered.
On March 28 of this year, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Judicial and Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption Narimon Umarov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Uzbekistan R. Troksha, lecturer of the Riga Higher School of Law on Anti-Corruption Policy and Management, former deputy of the Latvian Seimas (Parliament) I. Voika, project manager of the association "Delna" (Latvian department of the organization of Transparency International) A.Birule.
On August 2, the Anti-Corruption Agency together with the Supreme Judicial Council organized a "round table" on the topic "Prevention of corruption in the formation of the judiciary".
The Anti-Corruption Agency held a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan Francois Bejo, Alessandro Liamine and Zofia Lyutkevich.
