A new university will appear in Uzbekistan - Acharya International University of Uzbekistan

    Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with Director of Acharya University Vishes Chandrashekar. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of IT education were discussed.

    In accordance with the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026, the Karakul district of Bukhara region launches the (https://uza.uz/ru/posts/v-nashey-strane-poyavitsya-novyy-vuz-acharya-international-university-of-uzbekistan_439726)activities (https://uza.uz/ru/posts/v-nashey-strane-poyavitsya-novyy-vuz-acharya-international-university-of-uzbekistan_439726) of an IT cluster specializing in digital technologies and meeting modern requirements, the purpose of which will be to create a comprehensive chain from education to production in the field of information technology.

    The IT cluster will include a university with 5,600 seats, an incubation center for 100 seats and a center for the export of remote services for 50 seats, a student dormitory for 1,435 seats and a hotel for employees, a dining room, outdoor and indoor sports complexes.

    On October 10 this year, the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Khokimiyat of Bukhara region and Acharya Institutes of India signed an agreement on mutual cooperation to create a new university - Acharya International University of Uzbekistan.

    The meeting also discussed the issues of continuing work in this direction, developing new joint projects.
