The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a decree on improving the efficiency of management in the field of preschool and school education. This was announced by the Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova in her Telegram channel.
Starting from September 1, the basic rate of school principals is increased by 20%, and their deputies - by 15%. An increase is provided for kindergarten principals by bringing their rates in line with the rates of deputy school principals of groups III and IV. As a result, salaries will increase for more than 10,000 school principals, about 7,000 kindergarten principals, and 35,000 deputy school principals.
Starting in 2026, monthly performance allowances (KPIs) will be introduced, which will amount to 20% of the base rate for directors and 10% for their deputies.
New staff units are being introduced in the district education departments, which will strengthen monitoring of the quality of education and introduce additional programs for learning foreign languages and vocational training for students.
A system of incentives for many years of work experience is being introduced, which will cover 15,000 managerial staff. The amount of bonuses for school staff increases to 75% of the minimum wage instead of the previous 50%. 75% of the rental income from vacant school premises will now be allocated to the development of educational institutions instead of the previous 40%.
