According to the Decree, the subordination of the Family and Women's Committee will be transferred from the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction to the Cabinet of Ministers.
In order to effectively organize the activities of the Committee:
- The position of Deputy Prime Minister - Chairman of the Family and Women Committee has been introduced in the Cabinet of Ministers.
They are also appointed and dismissed in consultation with the Chairman of the Committee:
- Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan - Chairman of the Committee of Family and Women of the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
- deputy khokims (mayors) of the regions and the city of Tashkent - heads of the departments of family and women of the regions and the city of Tashkent;
- Deputy khokims (mayors) of districts (cities) - heads of departments of family and women of districts (cities).
The Family and Gender Research Institute will be established on the basis of the Research Institute of Family and Women, the Ministry of Justice reports.
