During the two-week event, representatives of the United Nations and civil society will discuss the implementation of the Beijing Declaration.
The session will focus on accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls by addressing poverty, strengthening institutions and financing from a gender perspective.
Within the framework of the visit, it is also planned to hold bilateral meetings with heads of UN structures, presidents of a number of states, heads of government and ministers.
