Egypt has resumed supplies of hepatitis C drugs to Uzbekistan

    On December 14, the delivery of the hepatitis C drug Sofosbuvir-400mg, allocated by the Egyptian government as humanitarian aid to our country, resumed.

    The eighth batch of aid delivered by Uzbekistan Airways flight from Sharm el-Sheikh to Tashkent contains 7,200 units of Sofosbuvir-400mg, the Dune news agency reports.

    Medicines will be provided to patients of the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

    According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Egyptian government will provide a total of 800 thousand units (about 40 tons) of drugs Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir and Entecavir against hepatitis C in the amount of 4.2 million US dollars.

    So far, 13.4 tons of drugs with a total cost of 1,461 thousand dollars have already been sent to our country in stages.
