During the negotiations, the delegation of the Ministry of Transport was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia.
As a result, wide opportunities will be created for pilgrims from Uzbekistan traveling to Hajj and Umrah, as well as for foreign tourists coming to Uzbekistan for pilgrimage tourism under the Umrah Plus program.
During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the implementation of 14 flights per week from Tashkent to the cities of Saudi Arabia on each side, as well as from any city of Uzbekistan with an international airport to any city of Saudi Arabia with an international airport with 21 flights per week on each side, a total of 35 flights.
An increase in regular flights by almost two and a half times will help eliminate the unrest that arises when tour operators and agents form groups of pilgrims traveling to Umrah on charter and transit flights, the interconnectedness of all airports in Uzbekistan with Saudi Arabia and further strengthen ties between the two countries.
