The conference discussed such topical topics as the need for effective coordination of agencies in countering gender-based violence, the role of the profile committee on women's Affairs in the institutional protection of women's rights, mechanisms for the protection of women by law enforcement agencies.
In her speech, T. Narbayeva focused the attention of ministers in the field of education, first of all, on the issue of "ensuring continuity at all stages of the education system - from kindergarten to higher education. In close cooperation with each other, we must establish the education of our children on gender equality, intolerance to violence and awareness of other areas of the Sustainable Development Goals through interesting programs. In this way we will achieve the upbringing of a comprehensively developed harmonious personality. That's when we won't need rehabilitation centers, helplines," she highlighted.
The participants of the event considered ensuring guarantees of equal rights of women and men in the activities of the media, in particular, all angles, starting from gender personnel parity and up to the submission of information. As a result of the conference, a roadmap for combating violence in Uzbekistan has been developed, the information service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
