In recent years, telecommunications networks have been rapidly developing under the influence of technological advances and changing consumer demands. In this regard, comprehensive measures are being implemented in our country for the widespread introduction of modern information and communication technologies in every field.
In particular, the development of telecommunications systems in remote areas has created access to telecommunications networks and allowed for positive results while reducing the cost of Internet services.
In order to improve work in this direction, the Law "On Telecommunications" was considered at the next plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
The experience and practice of foreign countries with a developed telecommunications market are analyzed in detail. The law clearly defines the tasks of the regulator regulating the telecommunications market and government agencies pursuing a policy of developing this market.
Thus, the Law grants the regulatory authority the authority to carry out licensing, licensing procedures for activities in the field of telecommunications, for the priority use of telecommunications infrastructures and the restoration and development of their activities in natural and man-made emergencies or a state of emergency, as well as the restoration and development of their activities, ensuring an equal and fair competitive environment for operators and providers.
Also, all legal entities and individuals are required to comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts adopted by the regulatory body within its powers.
The adoption of the law, providing relief to business entities, will create a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the telecommunications industry, which is an important part of the government's strategic program for the digitalization of the economy and society.
The law was approved by the senators.
