The event was attended by members of the Senate, chairmen of the Committee of the Jocarga Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on legality, judicial and legal issues and anti-corruption, permanent commissions of local Kengashes of People's Deputies of Tashkent and regions on anti-corruption and security, employees of responsible ministries and departments, as well as media workers.
During the public hearing, reports were heard from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank and other responsible organizations on the ongoing work to provide affordable housing to the population on the basis of subsidies.
The senators also actively discussed the results of the conducted research on the assessment of the risks of dishonesty in the provision of government subsidies for mortgage loans and the recommendations developed on its basis.
It was emphasized that it is important to further expand the sphere of mortgage lending in the sphere, creating the necessary conditions for the development of private contractors, introducing new mechanisms to support people in need of better housing conditions, using land resources wisely.
It was noted that the main purpose of the work carried out is to meet the needs of the population for housing.
During the discussions, the opinions of leading scientists and specialists were heard.
Following the meeting, the proposals and recommendations on providing housing for the population were summarized and it was decided to submit them to the responsible ministries and departments.
