The issues of expanding the political and diplomatic dialogue between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, as well as continuing constructive cooperation in the international arena, strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations, and intensifying parliamentary ties were discussed.
During the dialogue, it was emphasized that in recent years relations between our countries have reached a high level.
During the conversation, the importance of implementing joint projects in the field of green economy development, strengthening cooperation in combating the effects of climate change was noted.
In addition, the development of educational, cultural and humanitarian ties was noted as a priority. The practical aspects of the training of qualified specialists in modern fields in higher educational institutions, the expansion of educational programs taught in English are considered.
David Cameron emphasized that significant work is underway in Uzbekistan to ensure human rights, in particular, to implement the principles of decent work, achieve gender equality, and counter domestic violence.
During the meeting, it was noted that interparliamentary cooperation has significantly intensified in recent years. The sides exchanged views on further expanding the dialogue in this direction.
