The execution of the State Budget and the budgets of state trust funds in the first half of 2022 was discussed

    At an expanded meeting of the Senate Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms, held on September 12 this year, the Cabinet of Ministers' report on the execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the budgets of state trust funds in the first half of 2022 was discussed.

    It was noted that thanks to coordinated fiscal and monetary stimulus in the first half of 2022, the republic's economy grew by 5.4%. Services and industry have become the main drivers of economic growth.

    In turn, thanks to the effective measures taken, the real incomes of the population amounted to 7.2 million soums, an increase of 8.5% compared to the corresponding period last year.

    During the six months of 2022, the State Budget revenues were fulfilled by 106% compared to the forecast. Revenues were made by 17.8 trillion soums more than in the same period last year, and a total of 4 trillion soums remained at the disposal of local budgets.

    State budget expenditures for six months of 2022 without state trust funds amounted to over 103 trillion soums, which means 26.4% in relation to GDP.

    Senators expressed their attitude to the situation of taking into account public opinion due to the over fulfilled forecast part of the local budget through the Open Budget portal. It was noted that transparency and broad participation of citizens should be ensured in this regard.

    There are some shortcomings in ensuring the execution of revenues and expenditures of the State Budget, effective and targeted use of funds of budgetary state trust funds.
