President of Uzbekistan holds a phone call with the Prime Minister of Pakistan

    On October 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan.

    The Prime Minister of Pakistan warmly congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on the successful completion of the election campaign and a convincing victory in the past Presidential elections, sincerely wished peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

    The President of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan noted with deep satisfaction the steady trend of the progressive development of cooperation.

    Fruitful meetings during the Tashkent Summit in July this year made it possible to bring multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan to the level of strategic partnership, filling them with concrete content.

    The growth of indicators of mutual trade and the scale of industrial cooperation of the leading companies of the two countries was emphasized. New projects and programs of cooperation in investment, banking and finance, transport and communication, humanitarian and other spheres are being worked out.

    Views were also exchanged on the developing situation in Afghanistan. The importance of consolidating international efforts to promote the establishment of peace and socio-economic development in this country was emphasized.
