The President of Uzbekistan advocated the further development of a full-scale partnership with Saudi Arabia

    On April 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who is visiting Uzbekistan as part of the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the “Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf” Dialogue.

    The head of the Saudi Foreign Ministry conveyed to the Leader of Uzbekistan the warm greetings and good wishes of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

    Issues of further enhancing multifaceted relations and the full-scale partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia were considered in the context of the practical implementation of agreements at the highest level.

    Currently, active contacts and delegation exchanges at different levels continue. Trade turnover, the number of joint ventures, and the frequency of flights are growing.

    The implementation of cooperation projects in green energy, agriculture, healthcare, and the modernization of transport infrastructure, IT, and other priority sectors has begun.

    Particular attention was paid to the issues of thorough preparation for the upcoming events, including the Second Summit of the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” Dialogue in 2025.

    In addition, other issues on the regional agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan and the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue, were discussed.
