There is another important aspect in international relations that our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev draws attention to. This is the establishment of permanent communication with compatriots living abroad, the development of cooperation, support for their participation in the reforms carried out in our country, as well as comprehensive protection of the rights and interests of migrant workers.

In the development of the Institute of people's diplomacy, it is especially important to establish close relations and develop cooperation with compatriots abroad.

Uzbekistan has taken a serious step in the field of working with compatriots, having studied and summarized the experience gained by other countries. We should not forget that any foreign experience should be adapted to today's realities, the peculiarities of the country itself.

For three years, the People's Diplomacy Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan has been studying the achievements and experience of various countries in the field of people's diplomacy along with the active continuation of bilateral fruitful cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere with the member states of the organization.

At the same time, cooperation with compatriots living abroad, popularization of the Uzbek language, culture and traditions among them is one of the main activities of the Center.

Proceeding from these goals, on February 25 of this year, a meeting was held with the chairman of the public fund "Vatandoshlar" Odiljon Sattorov. During the conversation, an agreement was reached to exchange views on projects that could be implemented jointly, establish cooperation with compatriots living abroad, and hold other important events in cooperation.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the SCO People's Diplomacy Center and the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation, the press service reports.
