The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan took part in the meeting of the EPC in Nesvij

    The heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries took part in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) on June 3-4 in Nesvizh (Republic of Belarus), according to the official website of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAC).

    During the meeting, special attention was paid to the expansion of green corridor systems, the creation of joint agro-industrial clusters and logistics centers, the introduction of green and water-saving technologies, the development of common approaches and close cooperation in overcoming the effects of climate change. A total of 12 issues were considered.

    Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov addressed the meeting.

    A number of documents were signed following the results of the next meeting of the EMPS. The next meeting will be held in late September - early October in Yerevan.

    Recall that currently the EAEU consists of five countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Uzbekistan has been participating in the organization as an observer State since 2020.

    According to Chairman of the Board of the EAC Bakytjan Sagintayev, the Islamic Republic of Iran has also expressed interest in obtaining the status of an observer state at the EAEU. The Eurasian Economic Commission received the corresponding note on May 27. It is noted that it will be considered in due course.
