The objects of environmental expertise are and are subject to state environmental expertise:

· materials on the selection and (or) allocation of land plots for all types of construction;

· pre-design and project documentation;

· regulatory, technical, instructional and methodological documents regulating economic and other activities related to the use of natural resources, including draft technical regulations and conditions, standards, rules and instructions;

· documents on the creation of new types of technologies and technical means, materials, products, biological, chemical substances and means for the neutralization, processing and disposal of waste;

· operating enterprises and other facilities that have a negative impact on the environment and human health;

· objects with a special legal regime.

The Ministry of Ecology, Environment and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a specially authorized State body in the field of environmental expertise, environmental impact assessment and strategic environmental assessment.

The conclusion of the state environmental assessment is legally binding for the following periods:

· based on the materials of the environmental impact assessment, within three years from the date of issue of the opinion.;

· according to draft environmental regulations - within five years from the date of issue of the conclusion.

· The law will enter into force after 6 months from the date of its official publication.
