This document, initiated by the faction of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, provides for the introduction of modern information technologies into the sector and the strengthening of the legal basis for wildlife protection.
One of the most important changes in the draft law is the establishment of strict restrictions on catching rare and endangered animals listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Abdushukur Khamzaev, head of the Ecological Party faction, emphasized that a complete moratorium should be introduced on hunting creatures listed in the Red Data Book for all cases except for scientific purposes.
This proposal is being assessed as a significant step toward not only preserving nature but also restoring biological diversity. Additionally, the document introduces amendments to the laws "On Weapons" and "On Hunting and Hunting Management."
The new norms will serve to systematize the training of hunters, strengthen control over hunting processes, and create a favorable legal environment for hunting farms.
At the conclusion of the discussions, deputies noted that this project is of urgent importance in ensuring ecosystem stability and expressed their support for it.
