Within the framework of the trip, meetings of the Uzbek delegation were organized with the rector of the University of Södertern, Professor Gustav Amberg, the vice-rector of this university, Professor Anna Maria Johnson, employees and researchers of the Center for Baltic and East European Studies at this university, the news agency "Dunyo" reports.

During the meeting, issues related to the development of joint programs in the field of pedagogy and teacher training between universities of Uzbekistan and the University of Södertern, the establishment of an exchange of teachers and students, the organization of short-term refresher courses in Sweden, joint conferences and seminars in Tashkent and Stockholm, as well as the establishment of cooperation in other areas were discussed.

The members of the delegation of Uzbekistan also visited the Center for Baltic and East European Studies of the University of Södertern, got acquainted with the activities of this center, exchanged views on various issues with professors and doctoral students.

As a result of the visit, agreements were reached on cooperation in a number of areas with the University of Södertern.
