The President of the Russian Federation to pay a state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

    At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on May 26-27.

    In accordance with the stay program, high-level talks are envisaged.

    The agenda of the upcoming meeting includes further developing and deepening a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.

    Particular attention will be paid to enhancing practical interaction, primarily increasing mutual trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects in economic sectors, supporting innovative cooperation programs, and continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

    Following the summit, a package of bilateral documents is planned to be adopted.

    State leaders will also participate in the first meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.

    It should be noted that on the eve of the visit, several joint events will take place in Tashkent: a meeting of rectors of leading engineering and technical universities, a scientific and practical medical conference, and Russian Art Week.
