It was noted that the city of Isfahan pays great attention to the development of cultural ties with the ancient cities of Uzbekistan. In this regard, an important event was the signing in 2021 of a memorandum of understanding on granting the status of a twin city to Samarkand and Isfahan, the Dune news agency reports.
The mayor of the Iranian city expressed readiness to hold online meetings with the participation of the khokim of Samarkand, to intensify the exchange of mutual delegations in order to ensure the implementation of the memorandum and the development of relations in the trade, economic, investment, tourism and cultural spheres.
