Coca-Cola soft drinks factory opened in Samarkand region

    On May 15 of this year, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov took part in the opening ceremony of the Coca-Cola soft drinks factory in the Samarkand region.

    James Quincy, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola company, and Tunjay Ozilhan, Chairman of the Board of the ANADOLU GROUP, also attended the solemn event.

    The area of the newly commissioned enterprise, worth $ 80 million, is 18.5 hectares. It will produce 280 million liters of drinks annually, and jobs for 200 people have been created here.

    Plans have also been announced to create a new company line in Namangan, worth $ 50 million, which is scheduled to launch in March 2025. At the same time, the importance of intensifying efforts to attract investments and implement new projects in the country's food industry was emphasized.

    In turn, the heads of The Coca-Cola company and ANADOLU GROUP highly appreciated the investment climate created in Uzbekistan, thanks to which foreign investors can confidently implement long-term projects and expressed their readiness to further expand their business in our country.

    For reference: to date, three Coca-Cola plants operate in the cities of Tashkent, Urgench and Namangan region, $ 500 million has been disbursed, and more than 1,500 new jobs have been created. About 171 million unit cases are produced per year, which is more than 900 million liters of drinks.
