From January to July of this year, Uzbekistan imported natural gas for 983.7 million dollars, which is almost five times more than in the same period last year.
According to the Statistics Agency, at the same time, gas exports amounted to $ 323.1 million.
Last month, the country imported $ 174.2 million worth of gas, which is 174 times higher than the volume of imports in July last year, when gas purchases from abroad amounted to only $ 1 million.
The distribution of monthly gas import costs is as follows:

· March - $193.6;
· April - $102.6;
· May - $108.4;
· June - $166.3;
If the consumption of electricity and gas by industrial enterprises exceeds the established limit in the amount of up to 20%, the base tariff will remain the same. This was announced on August 20 at a meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with entrepreneurs in Karakalpakstan.
