This meeting was held in the building of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by representatives of the leading educational institutions of the two countries.

Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation K. Sharipov noted the importance of international cooperation in the field of higher education and science. Irina Staroselskaya, Head of the Russuian cooperation Representative Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, stressed the need to further strengthen and develop existing cooperation relations between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.

At the event, memoranda of cooperation were signed between Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, Karakalpak Medical Institute, Ferghana Polytechnic Institute and Ufa State Petroleum Technical University.

It is assumed that these memoranda will serve to create new opportunities for the development of educational and scientific activities between the universities of the two countries.
