During the dialogue, Georgy Chkheidze noted that his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan is coming to an end, during which time he witnessed the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Uzbekistan, and the successes achieved as a result of these works.
The Charge d'affaires of Georgia in our country stressed that along with the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries, new prospects are opening up for establishing transport and logistics ties, developing cooperation in tourism and other socio-economic spheres.
G. Chkheidze, focusing on issues of interparliamentary cooperation, and also stressing that the visit of the delegation headed by Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili to Uzbekistan in April this year is of great importance in bringing relations to a higher level, expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for organizing this visit at a high level.
