The Forum brought together delegates from more than 150 universities from 55 countries and delegations from over 60 international organizations. Within the framework of the program, seminars and trainings were organized on the topics of improving the positions of universities in the international ranking, improving the qualifications of those responsible for compiling the rating and other employees, establishing an exchange of students and teachers, and developing international cooperation, the Dunyo news agency reports.
The event was held at the site of the prestigious international rating organization "Times Higher Education" and its partners.
During the bilateral negotiations held within the framework of the forum, the foreign side was provided with information on the reforms carried out in the higher education system of Uzbekistan and the positive results achieved, issues of establishing cooperation with the most prestigious higher education institutions in the world and enhancing interaction with rating organizations were discussed.
At a meeting with David Watkins, Executive director for data processing of the international rating organization "Times Higher Education", the current state of cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and this organization, improvement of the positions of higher education institutions of the republic in international rankings, integration of the rating methodology into the national rating system, analysis of indicators of national higher education institutions were discussed. The importance of participation in global rankings and plans for the future were emphasized.
Following the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on the organization of seminars and trainings for employees responsible for international ratings in higher educational institutions of the republic and the holding of the following international events of the Times Higher Education rating organization in Uzbekistan.
