In January-March 2024, Uzbekistan exported 375.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth 219.8 million US dollars.
According to the Statistics Agency, compared with the corresponding period in 2023, this figure increased by 72.5% or 157.7 thousand tons.
Pakistan (26.2%), Russia (25.1%), Kazakhstan (10.5%) and China (9.2%) are the main export markets for fruits and vegetables.
It is worth noting that the share of exports of fruits and vegetables in January-March 2024 amounted to 3.4% of total exports.
In the period from January to May 2024, Uzbekistan exported 722.1 thousand tons of vegetables and fruits, which is 10.4% more compared to the same period last year.
