The oldest manuscript about Amir Temur was found in Dushanbe

    An ancient manuscript about the life and work of Amir Temur, written in Uzbek, was discovered in Dushanbe. This is reported by the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.

    A scientist from Navoi, Badriddin Mahsudov, said that the recently discovered book about Amir Temur can be called the oldest extant Turkic manuscripts.

    The previously known oldest written Turkic work about Amir Temur is dated 1713.

    The discovered manuscript bears the date - Rajab 1027 AH. This corresponds to June-July 1618. Scientists believe that this is the date of creation of a copy of the work, the book itself could have been written earlier.

    At the moment, it is unknown who the author of the manuscript is and who created the copy.

    Chairman of the Board of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abdukhalikov said that a copy of this unique manuscript will be brought to Uzbekistan for in-depth research with the participation of Uzbek historians and source specialists.
