    The opening ceremony of the Visa Assistance Center for Entry to Uzbekistan, opened in cooperation with the Embassy of our country in Pakistan and the travel company Meezab Group, took place in the Pakistani city of Lahore.

    Meezab Group is one of the leading travel companies in the Pakistani province of Punjab, organizing Hajj, umra, pilgrimage tourism and other types of travel for Pakistani citizens, Dunyo news agency reports.

    This event was an important step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. The opening ceremony of the center was attended by officials from the Punjab region, diplomats, representatives of travel companies, the media and the general public.

    The guests were provided with information about the rich culture, historical heritage and tourist potential of Uzbekistan. It was noted that regular direct flights have been opened between Tashkent and Lahore, which contributes to an increase in the flow of tourists between the two countries.

    During the event, a special presentation of Uzbekistan's opportunities in the field of tourism, in particular, pilgrimage, gastronomic, medical and MICE tourism, was held for Pakistani travel companies and the general public. Architectural monuments, national cuisine and a high level of service aroused great interest among the guests.

    The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, took part in the ceremony in an online format and told the participants about the systemic reforms being implemented in the tourism sector at the initiative of the head of our state. He noted that Uzbekistan has become one of the most attractive destinations for foreign tourists in recent years. The diplomat focused on the development of cooperation between the two countries in this area. Special attention was paid to the traditions of Uzbekistan's hospitality and modern tourism infrastructure, which creates great opportunities for Pakistani tourists.

    During the event, a dialogue with the guests on issues of tourist exchange took place. Representatives of Pakistani travel companies were interested in projects that could be implemented in the future. They noted that Uzbekistan is one of the most interesting destinations for Pakistani tourists, and the opening of the center will provide new opportunities for Pakistani citizens planning a trip to Uzbekistan, and will bring cooperation in the field of tourism to a new level.
